Video Journalist, Documentary Filmmaker, and Photojournalist
ABOUT ME

Will Fitzpatrick is a documentary filmmaker and journalist who recently graduated from NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute with a master’s degree in Documentary Film.
His work focuses on the intersections of politics, international relations, and outdoor sports, with a particular interest in stories that emerge when these worlds overlap. He is especially drawn to international, often hard-to-reach stories. Will is a recipient of a 2026 Overseas Press Club Scholar Award, and has been published by PBS and Oceanographic magazine, among others.

Before pursuing filmmaking and journalism, Will built a career at Eurasia Group, where he developed a strong foundation in global politics and economics. He now brings that background into his reporting and film projects, combining investigative depth with a passion for cinematic storytelling.

Will’s current projects explore how people navigate political forces and the natural environment, often within remote or underreported communities, from local and global contexts.
